Littlesea Holiday Park
Littlesea rises gently up the valley sides, spreading pitches and lodges across slopes that look straight out over the Fleet Lagoon. Portland sits there in the distance. Chesil Beach is fifteen minutes on foot. The coastal path runs right through the site.
This is the Jurassic Coast - the real thing, not the brochure version. The views from certain pitches explain why people buy here and stay for years. Some plots catch the lagoon straight on. Others sit higher up with Portland framed in the distance. The pitch you choose shapes what you look at every morning.
At the higher end, Signature lodges and caravans secure you views worth paying for - sea or lagoon, depending on location. Wraparound decking, double glazing, central heating so you're not restricted to summer-only visits. These are homes people use properly - Easter through to October, sometimes longer.
Further down the range, well-kept caravans get you on the park without the premium. The view might not be front-row, but you're still here. Still waking up to the same coastline. Still within walking distance of Chesil Beach.
Ownership comes with perks that make a difference - owners' lounge, private swim times, wine club. The Mash and Barrel sits on decking overlooking the lagoon. Indoor and outdoor pools, the indoor one redone properly in 2015. There's a small nature reserve on-site that winds through the park quietly, and the coastal path continues beyond the boundaries - Portland one way, Abbotsbury the other.
Ownership here means waking up to Portland on the horizon. It means the Jurassic Coast isn't a brochure claim - it's where your caravan or lodge actually sits. People don't buy that by accident. They buy it because they've stood on one of those lakeside pitches, watched the light change over the Fleet Lagoon, and realised this is where they want to come back to.
